The saga surrounding Sancho's future has dragged on for the entire window and Dortmund have been adamant that he is going nowhere.
However, the Sun are reporting that the player believes the deal will be done and that he has asked his advisors to "pull out all the stops".
The report claims Dortmund are resigned to selling Sancho, despite their repeated insistences that he will be staying at the Westfalenstadion.
It quotes multiple sources, with one saying: "He [Sancho] wants this deal done.
"He's told his agent and various advisors to do all they can to make it happen. They are pushing for him."
Dortmund are said to be after at least £80m as an up front fee plus add-ons and the final fee could be around £95m in total rather than the German side's £108m asking price.
A second source told the publication: "There's a bit of a stand off going on... it's a case of who blinks first. Will United up the offer or will Dortmund accept a lower bid?"
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently gave an update on the club's transfer business, saying they will only make a move if the price is right.
"We're always, always looking to improve if there's something out there that's available to the right price," he said.
"We always want to strengthen but I think we can all look ourselves in the mirror today instead."

United's next Premier League game sees them host Tottenham Hotspur next Sunday and managers Solskjaer and Jose Mourinho have been trading barbs recently.
Solskjaer has made the most recent dig at Spurs, referencing the fact they progressed to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup after getting a bye.
When asked about the competition, Solskjaer said: "It depends how you want to get there. You've got teams getting there, even without playing, even to this round!"
